The Golf Course
The Golf Course
Designed by the legendary Harry Shapland Colt and opened in 1927 on 160 acres of land leased from the War Office, Canterbury Golf Club’s course is a genuine gem of East Kent. The 18-hole, par-71 layout stretches 6,272 yards across a beautiful mature woodland setting, where open par-fives, tight par-fours and challenging par-threes demand accuracy and intelligent course management at every turn.
Over the years the original heathland character of the Colt design has evolved into a magnificent tree-lined parkland, alive with wildlife throughout the year and carpeted with bluebells each spring. Just half a mile from the city centre, it offers a genuine escape into nature without ever straying far from Canterbury. .
Whether you’re a member enjoying your regular round, a visitor experiencing the course for the first time, or a society looking for a memorable day out, Canterbury Golf Club consistently delivers a rewarding and uplifting round that keeps golfers coming back.
